Beyond Early Learning Centre in Blackwood

Beyond Blackwood has been expertly designed so that there is a natural and welcoming flow between the indoors and outdoors, enabling Flow Learning to occur. The indoor and outdoor areas naturally merge into one incredible learning space.

About Beyond Blackwood

Our unique learning environments make all the difference, for every child.
Conveniently located on Shepherd’s Hill Road, Beyond Blackwood provides an idyllic natural environment where children learn according to their developmental needs. Indoor and outdoor learning spaces are intentionally designed to not only flow but also change as children grow from babies into toddlers and then into their preschool years. Family groupings for our early morning and late afternoon children supports a relaxed start and ending to each day.

Meet our Centre Director, Jess Ragenovich

I have been in the Early Childhood sector for 15 years and have deep commitment to children's rights, recognising them as capable and competent learners, each with their unique strengths and qualities. I believe that it is our responsibility as educators to embrace and nurture these individual differences, fostering an environment where every child feels valued and empowered. I believe in creating a space where children are encouraged to explore, question, and learn at their own pace, and supporting our educators to deliver the best possible outcomes for children. By recognising and embracing the uniqueness of each child, we can create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued. At Beyond, it is my purpose to take each child and their family on a journey of wellbeing, development and growth, setting the foundation for the best start to school, and life.

Centre Features & Programs

From natural spaces, to nutritious food and yoga sessions, wellbeing shines bright. 

We offer developmentally suitable programs for children from 6 weeks to 6 years, including a kindergarten program with a well supported transition to school.

Our outdoor learning spaces are separated into three age-appropriate areas ensuring that all children are challenged and safe. Educators can focus on mentoring children according to their interests with age specific resources and activities.  

Our location opposite stunning Wittunga Gardens, along with our natural learning environments, supports learning with a strong Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) focus.

Fees & Subsidies

Our fee structure assists families to maximise their Childcare Subsidy entitlements. Children who are booked in permanently for 5 days per week will receive a discounted rate. Please contact our Centre for more information.

We operate for 52 weeks of the year, except on public holidays, including the non-public holidays over the Christmas and New Year period. ‍‍Our fees include a nutritious lunch, morning and afternoon tea, nappies, wipes and sunblock.

Should we have availability, families may book extra session(s) on a casual basis.

Our Blackwood centre is conveniently located on Shepherd’s Hill Road, opposite the beautiful Wittunga Botanical Gardens and very near to Blackwood, Eden Hills, Bellevue Heights and Coromandel Valley Primary Schools. Bus Stop 30B is a very short walk down the hill.
